IDESA

IDESA is a manufacturing company of equipment for the Oil & Gas and chemical industries as well as off-shore equipment. IDESA has a huge expertise in the design and manufacturing of tank, vessels, reactors and heavy duty equipment. With 65 Mio. € turn-over and  224 co-workers, IDESA main activities are the fabrication processes. IDESA has the facilities to manufacture any kind and size of steel foundations for offshore wind turbines. The most advanced technology processes for manufacturing are implemented in the company. IDESA has long experience in the quality-demanding Oil & Gas sector, so its process and quality procedures and standards are the most appropriates to operate in the offshore wind sector. IDESA has a strong R&D department with Extensive experience in ambitious projects in collaboration with other companies.

IDESA has experience in the growing offshore wind market. It has been involved in tendering for offshore wind farms projects and won several of them. The company is present in several International Exhibitions of offshore wind sector, as participant or exhibitor. Also IDESA is currently participating in several important R&D projects related with offshore wind energy at national level.

IDESA takes part in various innovation initiatives promoted by companies from the Spanish maritime and energy sectors, with a high capacity for R&D. At international level, IDESA has joined several FP7 proposals. Additionally IDESA has lead a consortium of 8 partners from France, Czech Republic and Spain within the project NUGGET (simulation of welding processes) labelled by Eureka with the number E!3720.

Within HiPRWind, IDESA is in charge of the floating platform development and fabrication, from conceptual design to its installation at sea. With the reorganisation of the HiPRWind consortium after the withdrawal of Acciona, IDESA took over the responsibility for leading Work Package 2 in the remaining time of the HiPRWind contract until Martch 2017.
